LEA Representatives Responsibilities

  2. LEA Representatives Contact Information

    • Reps are required to update contact information annually at the following link:  Survey

  3. Collaborative Sites User Name

    • The Collaborative operates a system of Google Apps which requires reps to be assigned a unique email address, user name, and password to use the Google Apps.  The user name and email address are created by the director and is of the following format:  revans-nec, revans-nec@necollaborative.org (first initial, last name, -nec), and a temporary password is initially assigned.  Representatives may submit a password to replace the temporary one using the form at the following link Password

  4. Monthly Meetings

    • Representatives meet monthly, usually on the first Friday of the month, except for July and August.  LEAs rotate hosting monthly meetings.  See the following link for more details regarding meetings and hosting.  Hosting

  5. Annual Membership Dues

    • The Collaborative operates through annual membership dues from member districts based on the number of 1st and 2nd year teachers employed in the districts.  Submit annual membership dues using the following form.  To view/print the Collaborative Membership Agreement Form (Contract) click one of the following links:  Word   PDF

  6. Lateral Entry Orientation Project

    • The Collaborative developed the framework for the 10-Day Lateral Entry Orientation which has become an online course with college credit through a partnership with Chowan University.  View the framework at the following link.  Project

  7. Fall Drive-In Conference

    • The Collaborative sponsors a one-day drive-in conference for beginning teachers at Chowan University in the Fall of each year.

  8. Superintendent Luncheon

    • The Collaborative sponsors a luncheon for member Superintendents each year during its December meeting.

  9. Annual Retreat / Professional Development

    • In January of each year, the Collaborative sponsors a two-day professional development / work session for LEA representatives to build capacity and to work on projects adopted by the Collaborative.

  10. Spring Conference / Dues

    • The Collaborative sponsors a weekend conference for beginning teachers in the Spring of each year.  LEA representatives are responsible for collaborating with the director to facilitate the conference and coordinate participation from their districts.

  11. Annual Review

    • Director Evaluation

      • Near the end of each school year, LEA representatives are responsible for completing an online evaluation of the director.

      • At the final meeting of each school year, LEA representatives are responsible for reflecting on initiatives during the year and setting preliminary goals for the next school year.
